WhatsApp bills by conversation category, not by the messaging platform you use. These are Meta's own published India rates — SMSGatewayHub passes them through untouched.

You may only message a customer on WhatsApp after they've given clear, verifiable opt-in — collected via a website form, in-store signage, an app, or a phone keypad entry. SMSGatewayHub does not supply contact lists; you're responsible for keeping consent records.
Business-initiated messages outside a live conversation must use a message template pre-approved by Meta under the Marketing, Utility, or Authentication category. Template review usually takes minutes to a few hours; rejected templates can be edited and resubmitted.
Once a customer messages you, you can send free-form replies — text, images, documents — for the next 24 hours. After 24 hours of silence, you need an approved template to restart the conversation. This service window is free today and becomes chargeable from 1 October 2026.
Meta rates every number Green, Yellow or Red based on block and report rates. Your rating decides how many unique customers you can message in a rolling 24-hour window — starting at 250 and scaling up as your quality and volume grow.
WhatsApp prohibits messaging about restricted goods and services, including adult content, gambling, unauthorised drugs and supplements, weapons, tobacco, counterfeit goods and multi-level-marketing schemes, as defined in Meta's WhatsApp Commerce Policy.
Once your number is registered on the WhatsApp Business API, it can no longer be used on the regular WhatsApp Business app unless you formally migrate it back.
