What does "Lifetime Validity" mean for Transactional SMS credit?

Effective 1st September 2026, SMS credit purchased on any Transactional route pack no longer expires after a fixed 1-year or 3-year period. Your unused balance stays valid for as long as your account remains active, with no forced renewal or credit forfeiture.

I purchased a pack before 1st September 2026 — does Lifetime Validity apply to my existing balance too?

Yes. Lifetime Validity applies to Transactional SMS credit balances from 1st September 2026 onward, including unused credit carried over from packs bought earlier under the previous 1-year or 3-year validity terms.

What is Transactional SMS and how is it different from Promotional or OTP SMS?

Transactional SMS (Service Implicit) is sent to your own existing customers for order updates, alerts, and reminders, and runs 24x7 including on DND numbers once your undertaking is approved. Promotional SMS is restricted to 10 AM–9 PM and blocked on DND numbers, while OTP SMS runs on a separate priority route for one-time verification codes.

What is the DLT scrubbing charge shown in the pricing?

A statutory DLT scrubbing charge of ₹0.025 per SMS is included in all bundle prices, as mandated under TRAI's DLT framework. This is an industry-wide regulatory charge, not an SMSGatewayHub markup.

Do I need DLT registration before sending Transactional SMS?

Yes. TRAI requires every business to register its entity, sender headers, and message templates on the DLT platform before sending Transactional SMS. Our team assists with DLT registration end-to-end.

How do I get approved to send Transactional SMS?

After purchasing a pack, download and sign the NDNC undertaking on your company letterhead, email the scanned copy to support@smsgatewayhub.com with your username and category, and the Transactional SMS menu is enabled in your panel once approved.

Is GST included in the listed price?

The per-SMS rate and base Amount are shown exclusive of GST. The adjacent figure marked "Inclusive 18% GST" is the final amount you pay.

Can I upgrade to a higher volume pack later?

Yes, you can purchase any higher pack at any time. New credit is simply added to your account and, from 1st September 2026, carries the same Lifetime Validity as the rest of your balance.
