Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions our support desk hears most about DLT errors.

A DLT error code is the reason TRAI's Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) scrubbing system gave for rejecting an SMS — for example an unregistered Sender ID, an unapproved template, or a recipient on the DND list. Every rejected message carries one of these codes so you can pinpoint and fix the exact compliance gap.
Log in to your registered TRAI DLT portal (Airtel, Jio TrueConnect, Vodafone Idea, or BSNL), open your Principal Entity profile, confirm the exact PE ID, and re-map it correctly in your SMS panel.
Promotional and Service Explicit SMS can only reach numbers that are NOT on the DND (Do Not Disturb) registry, and only between 10 AM and 9 PM. Outside that window, or to a DND number, TRAI requires the message to be blocked — this shows up as PREFERENCE_NOT_MATCHED or a 650-series code.
Any URL inside your SMS content must be pre-whitelisted on your DLT portal exactly as it appears in the message — static URLs must match character-for-character, dynamic URLs need a '?' query parameter, and shortlinks should carry your registered header name.
Different telecom operators and aggregators (Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, BSNL) report the same underlying DLT rejection using their own numbering — for example ENTITY_NOT_FOUND, EC_ENTITY_NOT_FOUND, and error 4112 all mean the same thing. This page groups them together so you only need to fix the issue once.
Check your template's status on the DLT portal. If it is suspended or blacklisted, you will need to draft and submit a new template with compliant, non-spammy phrasing for fresh approval.
A PE-TM chain error means your Principal Entity is not linked to our Telemarketer ID (1302157243747322354) inside your DLT portal's PE-TM chain option. Add our TM ID there, let us know, and we'll approve the mapping from our side.
Call our support line at 9907922122 (press 2 for support) or email support@smsgatewayhub.com with the exact code and a sample message ID — our team will trace it against the operator's scrubbing log.

Still stuck on a DLT error?
