WhatsApp Business API in India is charged per delivered template message. Meta's current rates are ₹0.8631 per marketing message, ₹0.115 per utility message and ₹0.115 per authentication (OTP) message. Service messages (free-form replies inside the 24-hour customer service window that opens when a customer messages you) are free. Since 1 July 2025 Meta charges per delivered template message instead of per 24-hour conversation. The price depends on the template category (marketing, utility or authentication) and the country code of the person who receives it. You pay only when the message is delivered.
