Each address is marked valid, invalid, risky or unknown. You can check one address, upload a list of up to 100,000 or use the REST API.

We never connect to the recipient's mailbox to "ping" it (SMTP probing). Mail providers treat that as abuse and it harms sending reputation - so a valid result means the address can receive email, not that a person reads it.

What does email verification check?
It checks the address format, whether the domain exists, whether the domain has mail servers (MX records), whether it is a disposable or role-based address, whether it belongs to a free provider, and suggests a fix for common typos.
What do valid, invalid, risky and unknown mean?
Valid: the address is well-formed and its domain accepts email. Invalid: it cannot receive email. Risky: it may work but is a typo, disposable, role-based or has no proper mail server. Unknown: the domain did not answer in time, so try again later.
Do you check whether the mailbox exists?
No. We do not connect to the recipient mail server to probe mailboxes, because mail providers treat that as abuse and it damages sending reputation. Our checks find the most common causes of bounces without that risk.
How many emails can I verify at once?
Up to 100,000 emails per list upload in the panel, and up to 1,000 per API request. Duplicates are removed automatically.
