SMS live in four steps

No code. Set it up from your SMSGatewayHub profile and your MoEngage dashboard.

Create the connector key

Panel › My Profile › Connectors › MoEngage › create the key (sghcn_…). Choose your MoEngage data centre and save your default sender ID and DLT entity ID.

Add a custom SMS connector

In MoEngage › Settings › Channels › SMS › Sender configuration, add a Custom connector with our URL and your key (table below).

Map the fields

Map MoEngage's destination, message and DLT template ID to our fields, and set the response and delivery mapping.

Connect delivery reports

Copy MoEngage's delivery tracking URL (or its connector ID) into your MoEngage settings in our profile, then send a test SMS.

Can I send SMS from MoEngage through SMSGatewayHub today?

Yes. SMS works through MoEngage's Custom Connector, which any MoEngage account can set up without waiting for a provider listing. Create a connector key in your SMSGatewayHub profile, add a custom SMS connector in MoEngage and map the fields shown above.

Is it DLT compliant?

Yes. Map MoEngage's DLT template ID (Moesms_dltTemplateId); your DLT header and principal entity ID go out with every India SMS. You can save the sender and entity ID once in your profile instead of sending them each time.

Do delivery reports reach MoEngage?

Yes. We post one callback per message to MoEngage's custom connector delivery URL for your data centre, with message_id, status (DELIVERED or FAILED), reason and timestamp.

What about WhatsApp and RCS?

Both are built on MoEngage's provider specifications. MoEngage turns them on for an account after provider onboarding; our team completes that onboarding with you — contact us.

What does it cost?

There is no extra fee for the connector. Messages are charged at your usual SMSGatewayHub SMS, WhatsApp and RCS prices.

Is my key safe?

The connector key is stored only as a fingerprint and is sent in MoEngage's authentication settings, never in the URL. You can create a new key or switch the connector off at any time.
